Video Game Desserts

OK, I promised to talk about video game food a while ago. So without further ado, here it goes!
Food in video games usually replenishes health. The same goes for reality. It gives us nourishment, and we couldn’t live without it. However, I firmly believe in desserts, which is the best part of the meal to be honest. I have sweet teeth. To dedicate sugar to one tooth just seems unfair to the rest of my palate. So why not combine some of the most delectable-looking video game desserts and make it? Here are some favorites that I have come across throughout my time as a Gamer’s wife.
SEA SALT ICE CREAM-Kingdom Hearts by Nerdy Nummies
This tasty treat is as popular as Sora, Donald and Goofy in the games. I’m playing 358/2 Days and after every mission Roxas, Axel and Xion all get a serving of the sea salt ice cream. I haven’t had it myself, but sea salt anything is all the rage these days. My favorite version that I’ve come across is Nerdy Nummies’ recipe.
On a side note: Rosanna is coming out with a Nerdy Nummies Cookbook this November! I have never wanted a cookbook before, but I really think this would be a fun addition to our library. I would love to make something for The Gamer that is video game related.
SWEET ROLLS-The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim by The Geeky Chef
The Gamer has been playing this sporadically over the past couple of weeks. I don’t see the appeal of it, but Sweet Rolls are a big part of the game. Sweet Rolls in general are delicious so it would be fun to put a video game spin to it.
PORTAL CAKE- Portal 2.0 by Gourmet Gaming
I’ve always wanted to make this cake for The Gamer for his birthday. Ahem, but it’s just never worked out since we’ve always been either super busy from school or just tuckered out from Christmas and New Year’s. The link provided is super complicated, but you could probably do a chocolate cake mix for easy mode aka for me.
And there you have it! I’m sorry it’s so short, but the week kind of snuck up on me. Plus, I’m really hungry so anything food-related is deemed worthy to talk about right now.
I will not be posting next week. We are going camping with my family! Hooray!
